Chyseing Ivy ($10) got the day off to a great start, taking out the Maiden Handicap (1400m) for the well-deserving trainer.
Varvo later complete the double for Crothers, winning the Benchmark 55 Handicap (1000m).
It was Crothers' first win since Varvo took out the Class Three Handicap (1100 metres) at Cootamundra on October 1.
Meanwhile, Talico claimed an emotional win for trainer Peter Clancy at Cowra on Sunday.
Talico won the Class One Handicap (950m) just days after the death of Clancy's wife Nerrida, who was a tireless worker for the Leeton Jockey Club.
A beloved member of the club and secretary for more than 20 years, Nerrida also helped launch the careers of several apprentice jockeys alongside her husband.
