It’s an admirable level of dedication which has translated into four state championships appearances, and this week he will make his fifth.
Having qualified for nine events, the 13-year-old will be among nine Wagga Swim Club members set to compete at the large-scale event.
According Kade’s mother Kristi Knight, the youngster is soley focused on bettering himself as a swimmer.
“Hes always been about wanting to improve his own times,” Knight said.
“He just loves it, it’s what he's always wanted to do.
“He’s never done it for the accolades.”
The youngster will be joined by fellow club members Brandy Nicholson, Oscar Gianniotis, Emma Neilsen, Billy Nicholson, Lily Holtorf, Natalia Horsley, Lana Duffy and Bella Storer.
The 13-18 years championships begin on Friday and are preceded by the younger age groups.
