Charged under rule 240(C), Harness Racing NSW stewards found on two occasions Grimson had placed bets against his horses.
The first was on January 3 when he placed a five leg multi at Menangle and one of the bets was on Salty Robyn when he trained Wydnberg Terror in the same race.
On Feburary 2, Grimson placed a bet on Easy Lightning to win when he was training Machin Out in a race at Penrith.
Stewards considered those actions improper.
Grimson pleaded guilty to both charges and was disqualified for three months for each, with the penalty served concurrently.
Stewards considered the actions, his licence history, his guilty plea as well as personal and subjective factors to determine the sentence.
He has appealed these decision.
