Each year the Combined Rotary Clubs of Wagga hold the annual Peace Day Ceremony, during which each individual clubs acknowledge the efforts of volunteers within our community who make living in our city a better place, and the local secondary schools for their contributions towards helping others.
The ceremony will be held on the Sunday closest to Rotary Peace Day, which falls on on February 23.
At this ceremony, each club acknowledges the efforts of volunteers within the community who make living in the city a better place, and the local secondary schools for their contributions towards helping others. To nominate someone, email organisers at combinedrotarywagga@gmail.com.
Wagga was named the world’s first Rotary Peace City in 1993.
The program, started in Wagga, has spread to 20 countries.
