The eatery had its ups and downs in the 10 month period from the blaze that destroyed almost everything, but despite all the issues, owner Anthony Chambeyron was looking forward to being open for trade.
“It’s been a bit of a rocky road; the roller coaster has been up and down but we’re really excited with the new fit out,” he said.
“We hired some new staff and lost some old staff because of how long we were out for but as a whole, the support from the public, our staff and family has been fantastic.
“We’ve gotten to where we want to be, now it’s just a matter of maintaining everything and getting back into the rhythm of it all.”
The dining hot spot has a new sushi bar, renovated cafe and chef’s kitchen. The former children’s play area was also remodelled to accommodate a large private dining area for special events and occasions.
“It’s almost a brand new renovation. If there’s a silver lining out of the renovation, the place is brand new,” Mr Chambeyron said.
“The big thing we miss is that we were always so busy. Cache has always been the backbone and our baby.
“We just want to say a big thank you. The Wagga community and surround have been really supportive in a huge amount of different ways and we can’t wait to see their faces again."
Cache Store of Food is open from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Saturday, and 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Sunday.
