Charles Sturt University’s Professor Chris Blanchard has scored a spot on the board of the Grains Research and Development Corporation.

The director of the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Functional Grains at CSU began his three-year term on the GRDC Board on October 1.

"I'm looking forward to serving as a board member of the GRDC to help drive investment in projects and partnerships to increase the profitability of the Australian grains industry," he said.

Professor Blanchard is also leader of the grain and meat quality pathway at the Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation, where research is focused on improving productivity, profitability and sustainability throughout the grains value chain.
