Senior Constable Forrest was selected from six Wagga finalists and is nominated in the category for customer service excellence.
She is currently a general duties officer in Wagga and Junee.
The nomination focused on her attention to the welfare of victims of crime and her efforts to improve communication and translation for Wagga’s large non-English speaking refugee communities.
Senior Constable Forrest was also recognised for being a keen mentor to junior staff and in particular new probationary constables.
Senior Constable Forrest will be joined by the other Wagga finalists at the state awards in Sydney on Friday, November 10, when the winners will be announced.
The other Wagga finalists were Senior Constable Ingrid Gunthorpe, administration officer Cherie Buck, volunteer Dave Richmond, Inspector Robert Vergano and Senior Constable Bradie Logue.
