More than 600 Wagga primary school students have showcased their skills as part of the Trent Barrett Shield.

Wagga’s round of the years 3-4 competition was played across Equex Centre and Parramore Park.
There was 60 teams involved in the boys rugby league and the leaguetag for the girls.
NRL game development officer Adam Perry was thrilled to see so many participate.
“It all went well and there were heaps of kids playing footy, which is good,” Perry said.
The date was postponed due to wet weather a fortnight ago, but the sun was definitely shining on players on Tuesday.
Holy Trinity, Henschke and St Joseph’s primary schools as well The Rock Central School progressed in the boys rugby league competition after topping their pools and then winning their final game.
North Wagga and Sturt public schools as well as Henschke and Lutheran primary schools made it through in the girls leaguetag competition.
The finals of the Trent Barrett Shield will be field in Wagga on Tuesday.
Twenty teams in both the boys and the girls will take part on the day after coming through earlier rounds at Albury, Griffith, Leeton, Temora, Gundagai and Harden.
