Destination Riverina Murray chair Genevieve Fleming said there were considerable opportunities for further investment and development.
“We have some exceptional tourism product in this region and our goal is to leverage that through domestic and international channels for the benefit of our local tourism sector,” Ms Fleming said.
“The meeting with the Minister was a great opportunity to showcase some of the region’s best tourism assets.”
Mr Marshall said he was impressed with the board’s update considering they had only been established for a few months.
“A local perspective and expertise is really important when driving visitation to a region,” Mr Marshall said.
