The Dragons have alternated winning and losing for the last their last 11 games.
Coming off a 44-6 hammering to Tumut at home last week, their season long record suggests a win is just around the corner.
“We are due for it after one bad one,” Boyd said. “It’s been one win, one loss.”
With Temora one point outside of fifth, it is also a crucial clash for their finals hopes.
While Cootamundra are back sitting on the bottom of the ladder, Boyd expects his former team will be fired up for the clash at Les Boyd Oval.
“It is going to be so hard this week as they’ve got a reserve grade reunion, an olds boys day then a $10,000 drop from a helicopter so they will be wanting to win,” he said.
“Plus with all us (former Cootamundra) boys playing there.”
