Reached Glasgow about 9.30. Weather fine and quite mild. Arriving at 571 found that Mr. Harper had gone to meet me. Had breakfast then a sleep until lunch, after which went out for a stroll round the town and to get some rubbers for my boots. Bought a Christmas number of the Graphic for Mum, so that I have now sent them each a Christmas number. Streets very busy and packed, the Glasgow gals throwing glad eyes ad lib to the soldiers as usual. Back again for dinner and had a good old yarn; turning in about 11.
