When she was six weeks old, Glorious Leader broke her leg and Honey repaired it himself.
However it was far from an issue as she brought up her first win in dominant fashion at Wagga on Friday.
Leading from box seven, Glorious Leader was always in front during the Ladbrokes Appreciation Maiden (400m) and went on to defeat Just Angel by over five lengths.
Honey was thrilled with the effort and also just pleased to get her chance.
“We’ve been trying to get a run for about five nominations and couldn’t get one, but we finally got one here, Honey said. “She’ll get runs now as she’s won.”
