Cootamundra couldn’t continue a positive start to the clash at Les Boyd Oval on Sunday as they slipped to a fourth loss with a 38-14 defeat against the ladder leaders.
Tumut led 12-4 at the break, before scoring the next four tries to put the game out of reach of the Bulldogs.
In a clash of top versus the bottom, few expected a tight contest but Cootamundra proved up to the challenge in the first half.
However three quick tries to Mitch Ivill, Ben Roddy and Dean Bristow drained the home team’s enthusiasm.
