“You don’t understand a mother’s love until you become one,” Mrs Morris said as she cradled her little son.
“I absolutely love him, he’s so beautiful.”
Leo Angus Morris was born at 8.45am on Sunday, weighing in at just over seven pounds (three kilograms) after a 30-hour labour.
Rhonda Cotter, Mrs Morris’ mother, was with her “baby girl” for the delivery of her seventh grandchild and said it was an amazing experience.
“My baby was having a baby,” Mrs Cotter said. “We wondered if he would be born on Mother’s Day and he was, so he’s a little present for me too.”
Mrs Morris and her husband, Bradley, were over the moon to meet their little bundle of joy.
“He’s just perfect, Bradley was in awe when he saw him,” Mrs Morris said.
“He’s the best Mother’s Day gift I could ask for.”
