First – Rachel King (Stampede $7.50): He travelled really nicely and once that other horse kinda dropped off us I was able to have a bit of a soft lead, a couple of easy sectionals and he always travelled well within himself. He was very comfortable and from the 600 when I gave him a bit of rein he lengthened his stride, straight away was on the bridle and really wanted to race. He's a very tough horse as well, he could hear them and wasn’t going to stop and kept digging deep for me.
Second – Kerrin McEvoy (Life Less Ordinary $2.90 fav): Ran really well but the leader just kept on running.
Third – Tommy Berry (Cool Chap $4.20): Honest effort but just found two horses better on the day. We had every chance.
Fourth – Tim Clark (Montauk $8.50): Ran really well but just had a bit too much to do.
Fifth – Corey Brown (My Psycharist $11): Little bit unlucky but the speed was too slow.
Sixth – Jay Ford (Pemberley $8): Run ok. Looking for further distance.
Seventh – Simon Miller (Dyrham Park $151): Ran as good as he could. It was a very honest run.
Eighth – Brodie Loy (Lautaro $41): Really well, obviously it’s hard when the city horses come down but he went really well.
Ninth – Cory Parish (Jacquinot Bay $12): Thought he might have felt the track. Travelled up like he was going to be the winner then wanted to duck in and didn't want to let down.
Tenth – Lachlan King (Rose’s Song $31): She went super. Just was just a bit fired up today and blinkers switched her on a bit.
Eleventh – Kathy O’Hara (Diamond Made $18): Maybe after coming from the heavy tracks to the dry was a bit dour.
Twelfth – Bryan Murphy (Gentleman Max $151): He’s a 100-1 shot stepping up in grade. Tried his best but probably prefers it a bit wetter than drier.
Thirteenth – Mathew Cahill (Midnight Obsession $81): Had a nice run up until the 600 and when they quickened she was a bit flat and struggled in the straight.
Last – Kayla Nisbet (Overdue $51): Disappointing. I think he has come to an end of his prep.
