In a special session Blades, who also played 32 Tests for Australia and was part of the winning World Cup team, had a real focus on the set piece of the Boiled Lollies at Conolly Rugby Complex.
Wagga City coach Michael Kanck was blown away by the training session.
“It was huge, very beneficial and probably exceeded our expectations,” Kanck said.
“Our scrums are evolving and this adds a lot of the one-percenters to improve our technique, to make our scrummaging safe and also effective.”
Blades also cast his eye over the line-out with a focus on helping younger player develop.
Kanck hopes his team can deliver on the changes when taking on Griffith at Exies Oval on Saturday.
