Wagga Model Aero Club's 44th annual military scale event will feature pilots from far and wide gathering in the spirit of honouring the brave men and women who sat in the cockpits of the full-scale versions.
Club secretary Ian Dolby said the weekend provided a great chance for any pilot to show off his pride and joy.
“Some of these men have spent a few thousand hours building their planes,” Mr Dolby said.
“It really is a labour of love.”
The day features both a static display and a flying competition, featuring planes worth as much as $20,000.
The event begins today and wraps up on Sunday.
