Wagga Society of Model Engineers president Jim Weeden said the consistent numbers make the railway the top spot for visitors to enjoy.
“Other one off events bring in bigger numbers but we are constantly bringing people in every month,” Mr Weeden said.
“Out-of-towners passing through always make sure they’ll be here for the weekend the railway is running.”
More than 2600 people headed to the Easter event to experience the annual twilight ride, with all proceeds going toward the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
“It was a very successful day,” Mr Weeden said.
