Visser was given his marching orders by referee Mark Harris after a hit on CSU outside centre Hamish McMahon late in the game at Beres Ellwood Oval.
Harris deemed the tackle as high.
It leaves Visser in doubt for the clash with Griffith at Murrayfield after the Easter general bye on April 22.
A red card automatically triggers a judiciary appearance and the Southern Inland panel has been convened for 6pm on Thursday.
The Steamers were left short handed in the win over Reddies with Richard Manion and Jacob O’Reardin yellow charged for repeated infringements.
They still held on to score a 40-36 win in the first round of the season.
