Inspiring Place, a team of urban planners and landscape architects, will prepare a trail development plan, which will focus on a development strategy, trail design and an indicative trail costing.
Committee chair Lisa Glastonbury said Inspiring Place had a strong track record in trail planning, adventure recreation, community engagement and nature-based tourism, making them the right people for this project.
“We have specifically engaged Inspiring Place because they have recognised community engagement credentials and we know that both the community and the project demands a genuine approach to community consultation”, Ms Glastonbury said.
“This project is not about ticking boxes. It’s about genuinely seeking comment from a range of community stakeholders to ensure that we end up with a trail design that best meets the needs of the community.”
