Canteen manager Joanne Klimpsch said the school runs a canteen Facebook page containing photos of what is being made each day.
The page has received positive feedback from parents who can suggest recipes.
Ms Klimpsch said presentation of food will be key to the new Healthy Schools Canteen strategy.
“Children are the same as anyone else – they buy with their eyes and they see what they like,” Ms Klimpsch said.
The new strategy states fruit, vegetables and freshly made food will make up at least 75 per cent of NSW school canteen menus with remaining menu items requiring a health star rating of 3.5 stars or above.
