Changes to Wagga cricket this season means the team that finishes first will progress into the next stage of the the finals in the case of a draw.
Coming into the clash St Michaels and South Wagga can both secure top spot with a win.
Saints captain-coach Ryan Forsyth believes it will be a big bonus during the final series.
However he is just focusing on continuing to build momentum a week out from the finals.
“We still want to play aggressive cricket regardless of the rule," Forsyth said.
“I’m expecting it will be tough with South Wagga needing to win.
“It is going to be a good contest.”
St Michaels haven’t lost since losing their first three matches of the season but have made one change with Nick Fahey coming in for Jordan Lawrence.
Lawrence has just begun a new job in Canberra and wouldn’t have been unavailable for play on Sunday so the club decided against making a change after Saturday’s action.
Forsyth said the heavy hitter’s new commitments won’t affect his availabilty during the finals series.
