Ganmain Public School P & C’s annual fundraiser is now in it’s eighth year and it is again expected to attract a big field of triathletes.
Defending champion and hometown hope Caleb Noble will not be able to defend his crown as he will compete in the Gatorade Triathlon Series event in Melbourne.
With no Noble, Miller will start a heavy favourite to back up his Wagga win and extend his lead in the Riverina Tri Series.
Curry, also a winner at Wagga, will compete at Ganmain.
The winners of the series, which consists of six races across the Riverina, will share in $2000 prizemoney.
The Ganmain triathlon starts with a one kilometre run around Ganmain Sportsground, followed by a 5km bike leg, 150 metre swim in Ganmain Pool, and then a final 5km run.
The event caters for all ages and abilities with sub junior, junior, tri-a-triathlon and open divisions, as well as a fun walk. There is also a team event.
Competitors can register online at www.ganmaintriathlon.com or on the day from 7am. Early bird rates will apply for registrations up until midday on Saturday.
The race action gets underway from 8am with the open event starting at 9.30am.
