A Cootamundra resident, Mrs McDevit will trek from the town post office to Wallendbeen to raise money for Adam Barnes – a man who could wake up any day without sight or feeling in his arms or legs.
Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Mr Barnes needs $100,000 to receive potentially life-changing treatment across the globe. The treatment may be his best chance at a normal life as it reverses the progress of his condition.
Riverina’s heroic trekker, Mrs McDevit will allow six hours to complete the walk and has invited others to join her on March 25.
