The entrance to the ground, plus large sections of the playing surface and spectating areas, were underwater on Saturday only hours before the finish to the season.
However any concerns were allayed as the flood waters vanished.
Group Nine president John Morton thought Southcity’s win over Gundagai capped off a successful day.
“It was a very good game of football and there were good games of football throughout the afternoon,” Morton said.
Morton inspected the ground around 4pm on Saturday and was impressed by how well it recovered.
“There was water right across the road and there was a lot more water across the ground but this morning it has come up good,” he said.
“There is plenty of grass on it so it held up pretty good.”
A figure for the crowd had yet to be finalised but is expected to be around $30,000, down of last year.
