Churchill took out the amateur division with Frahaven Aussie Gold after finishing with the fastest, clean round in the final of three events.
Frahaven Aussie Gold took one rail into the final but after jumping clean his time of 59.94 seconds was enough to take the victory.

“I won at Canberra Royal in the amateur series as well this year.”
Churchill had himself to beat in the final with his other entrant Franklin’s Peace also enjoying success.
Franklin’s Peace came into the final round was the only horse with a clean record and while didn’t finish the pressure round as fast as his stablemate he didn’t go home without a prize.
He was rewarded for his consistent performances from Franklin’s Peace over the three classes to take overall honours with Frahaven Aussie Gold second.
