Captain Steph Puttock and veteran Elisha Ward returned after a couple of weeks off to enjoy the catch-up match at the Showgrounds.
Ward was integral in Junee's attack through the centre, intimidating South Wagga’s defence with long-range shots and through balls to Junee’s strikers and wingers.
Junee used its wing players Suzanne Waia (left), and Nicole Tinnock (right) to surge forward, and a disorganised South Wagga back line scrambled to contain Ashleigh Goode and Ward who supported well, and worked the ball into the goalmouth, as they were often unmarked.
South Wagga’s sole goal-scorer Mel Parker capitalised on a free-kick in the first half, curling the ball over a wall of defenders and out of the keeper’s reach into the top right-hand side of goals.
Junee entered the second half 4-1 up, and, after a 10 minute stalemate, scored three quick goals.
Waia was subbed off due to a foot injury and Junee’s intensity dropped, but keeper Sara Smart stood her ground in goals despite best efforts from South Wagga’s Biola Dawa and Holly Hodges.
