The Fitzmaurice Street licensed establishment was listed for private sale at $4.25 million – after it passed in at auction on April 28 – but did not attract a buyer.
Agent Nick Tinning had hoped the four prospective buyers who were hesitant to make a bid at auction would negotiate a deal.
The 160-year-old pub is now in the hands of Sydney administrator Alan Hayes.
