The Nationals candidate, Michael McCormack, pledged to construct a new mobile base station in Wantabadgery and a new tower at Dirnaseer.
“Like many communities across the Riverina and Central West, I know the people of Wantabadgery have dealt with very poor mobile service for a number of years,” Mr McCormack said.
Labor candidate Tim Kurylowicz also promised to fix the black spot if elected, claiming the Liberals had under-delievered on mobile reception.
“Given that there have been 40 accidents along this stretch of road in recent years, including four fatalities; we desperately need to improve coverage,” Mr Kurylowicz said.
