About 500 kids from across the Riverina hit Jubilee Park on Monday for the annual primary school competition.
Kooringal won the girls division, beating The Rock Primary School 4.8 (32) to 0.1 (1) in the final.
In the boys, Mater Dei Primary and South Wagga Primary progressed through to the final on May 30.
Mater Dei won their semi-final 6.3 (39) over Lake Albert Public, while South Wagga were too good for Henschke Primary 7.3 (45) to 1.6 (12).
“The day was huge. It’s great to see so many kids playing AFL in the one spot,” Southern NSW AFL’s Marc Geppert said.
“It was also encouraging to see nearly as many girls teams entered as the boys.
“To have 40 teams is great testament not only to the kids but the teachers and schools who support it.”
