Despite upsetting the Harlequins last week, Lake Albert were no match as CSU/Rivcoll continued their good form.
Lake Albert’s Paul Oakman had little support from the midfield and Bryce Philpott again set up the attacks to the CSU forwards.
Craig Knowles was the lone figure upfront for Lake but CSU defender Thomas Belling shut down any forward attacks.
Meantime in the women’s first grade competition LAC United are revelling after back-to-back wins. The newcomers had 4-2 victory over the Royals on Saturday.
Once again it was the Swaysland sisters, Sam and Jess, who led the way and peppered the goals for LAC United.
LAC United goalkeeper Melissa Rogers was strong in defence.
Royals were desperately missing their captain, Emily Paul as Isobel Cowell and Zoe Griffin were unable to stop the LAC United forwards.
The reigning premiers, Rosellas, remain winless after a goal by CSU/Rivcoll with 5 minutes left on the clock levelled the scores at 2-2 on full time.
To add to the frustration for Rosellas, an injury to key striker Kira McBeath limited their firepower upfront.
With goals to Johanna Duck and Emily Hedditch, Rosellas looked the better side. However, Bernie Howard held firm in defence for CSU/Rivcoll and goals by Steph Carr and Georgie McGregor for CSU meant both teams shared the points.
