Arnotts has confirmed that the Orange Slice biscuit is often singled out as the least popular in the Assorted Creams packet.
“They’re quite a polarising biscuit – people either love them or hate them,” Arnotts spokeswoman Nicole Thomas said.
Mrs Petts wrote to Arnotts via Facebook at the weekend to express her disgust at the Orange Slice biscuits after, once again, they were the only ones left in her work biscuit barrel.

Ms Thomas said Arnotts would consider taking the product off the shelf if consumers called for it.
“If Orange Slice sales dropped, we would look at removing them from the assortment,” she said.
“Luckily for Orange Slice, it has a loyal, although perhaps less vocal, following.”
Biscuits ranked from most to least popular in the Assorted Creams packet are Monte Carlo, Kingston, Shortbread Cream, Orange Slice and Delta Cream.
