It comes after countless months of motorists demanding an investigation into fluctuating Riverina fuel prices.
The new petrol station, currently in development, will sit on the site of a BP outlet which closed down last month.
Owners of the chain hope the new store will challenge other fuel outlets in town to keep their prices consistently low.
“We’ve identified it as an area with excessive pricing because the market leaders have had control for a length of time,” a spokesperson said.
“We're working on expanding in regional areas like Wagga where the benefits are really noticed by the community.”
United last year opened a service station on the Sturt Highway.
