More than 250 volunteer truck drivers embarked on the heroic mission to bring relief to drought-stricken farmers and raise awareness for their struggles.
Wagga’s Riverina Plant Hire sent two trucks on the run to assist the West Queensland battlers.
The company's senior driver trainer Stephen Smith said it was an endeavor he will never forget.
“It was a very humbling feeling, one of the best things I’ve ever done,” he said.
“It’s like the carpark at the Rules Club, the ground is down there.
“The stock have got nothing to eat, they only get to eat what the farmers buy them.”
Founder of the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners Brendan Farrell announced the next pit stop will be Thargomindah, in south-west Queensland.
“There are more runs coming later in the year.”
