Bubs and their carers are gearing up for an introduction to the rhythm and sound of language through the Baby Bounce program.
The early literacy program uses songs, rhymes, books and music to introduce babies to language.
It comes as modern-day kids are more inclined to reach for an iPad than reach for a book.
The free four-week program, for babies aged zero to 12 months, is held in the children’s area of Wagga library each Thursday morning in March.
Each half-hour session requires one carer per baby, so participants are asked to invite extra helpers if they are bringing twins or triplets.
The program doubles as an opportunity for carers to meet other carers with babies the same age.
