Kearnes’ impressive batting average of .700 has been a personal highlight, out three times off 12 bats.
She has pitched at three matches so far, and is pleased with her results.
“We’ve got a pretty strong team, we’re looking really good,” Kearnes said.
However, she’s not getting ahead of herself, remembering that last year’s team were undefeated until they got knocked out in the finals.
“It’s really tactical, some of the states love hiding their really good players for finals,” Kearnes said.
Finals begin on Friday afternoon.
