Nathan Leigh Simpson met Jenna Leanne Crain when they worked together at Thomas Bros and he later proposed at his brother’s 18th birthday party.
He asked Jenna to stand with him while he made a speech then proposed on one knee in front of a room full of people.
The couple were later married at the Wagga Wagga Winery where they made promises to “love you as much as I love the Cronulla Sharks” and “cherish and cuddle you as much as our family dog, Diesel.”
Almost 90 guests from Wagga, Canberra, Moss Vale and Wollongong watched as bridesmaid Louise Johnson performed a rap song and the couple held a candle light ceremony for loved ones who had passed away.
Jenna, the youngest daughter of Gail and Tony Riach and Anthony Crain, wore a gown from Stella York, a Windsor Bridal hair piece and carried a bouquet from Freckles Flowers as she was walked down the aisle by her stepfather.
Jenna was attended to by her maid of honour Karley Crain, bridesmaid Louise Johnson and junior bridesmaid Charlotte Slade, who wore fuschia cocktail-length chiffon dresses with a satin sash.
The bride and groom’s daughter, Makenzie Simpson, was the flowergirl and she wore a white lace dress and headband.
Nathan, the second eldest son of Roslyn Barnes and Patrick Simpson of Moss Vale, was joined by best man Brett Crain, groomsman Ryan Dedini and junior groomsman Brandon Crain.
The couple honeymooned at Hamilton Island for seven nights where they enjoyed scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef, visiting White Haven Beach, parasailing, jetboating, swimming with sea turtles, snorkeling, kayaking and drinking by the spa.
