WAGGA’S community radio station will remain at its current site for at least another five years, after its license renewal was protracted due to Crown Lands wanting additional information. Wagga Community Media (WCM), who own and operate 2AAA, started broadcasting in 1978, but its agreement to use the telecommunications tower expired last July. Subject to Crown Lands consent, council has resolved to offer WCM a five-year licence agreement for $1166 per year. A final decision will be made in a fortnight.
