The Young reinsman has been driving for less than a month and was thrilled to salute first after narrowly missing out with his first drive.
He brought up his first win aboard Fake Art at Dubbo on Friday night, the same horse he was beaten by a short half head on to start his career at Junee on November 14.
“It was awesome, I was over the moon,” Dewar said.
“It’s always been a dream so it was good.”
The 16-year then scored with Pharrell at Leeton on Saturday night.
The win was all the more special as it was trained by his grandfather Peter Schiller, the man who inspired him to take up the sport.
“What really topped everything off was to finally win one for pop,” Dewar said.
“We’ve always wanted to be a combination together and it finally happened.”
