Flynn arrived back home in Narrandera on Monday after a brief holiday on the Sunshine Coast where he tried to keep his mind off Tuesday night’s AFL Draft.
The 200cm ruckman will watch the Draft at home in Narrandera with parents Graham and Julie where he predicts an anxious hour or so.
“It will be alright for the first round, because I won’t be expecting anything there,” Flynn said.
“After that, it will be hard. The nerves will kick in.”
Flynn is considered one of the best ruckman available in the Draft with Western Bulldogs the frontrunners to secure his services.
Greater Western Sydney (GWS) will get the chance to step in before any potential suitors given he is a product of the Giants Academy.
Flynn said it is impossible to know how things will unfold.
“To be honest, I’ve got absolutely no idea,” he said.
“The clubs are that tight-lipped, they don’t give anything away.
“A couple of clubs have shown interest and give you a bit of an idea, but not much.
“Western Bulldogs have shown the most interest towards me, in the things that I’ve picked up on, but who knows.”
One of Flynn’s strengths is his marking and he credits that to his sudden rise to ruck status.
“I’ve only been in the ruck since under 16s,” he said.
“Before that I played centre half forward and centre half back.”
