TOP Sydney jockey James McDonald will ride Wagga galloper High Opinion at Rosehill on Saturday.
Wagga trainer Chris Heywood will take High Opinion to Sydney for the $40,000 TAB Highway Handicap, a Class Three event over 1500 metres.
Owner, Craig Hardy, managed to book the services of McDonald to ride High Opinion.
The four-year-old ran fourth in a Highway Handicap at Rosehill on November 14, when beaten two lengths by Dashie de Luxe.
McDonald replaces in-form Wagga apprentice Nick Heywood.
Meantime, the Brett Cavanough-trained The Monstar will run in Friday’s $90,000 Wodonga Cup (1590m).
The Monstar was last sighted on Melbourne Cup day when third in a listed event at Flemington over 1200m.
The furthest The Monstar has raced is 1400m, once, but Cavanough is confident his galloper can give them something to catch.
