Killing It Fitness Cobras celebrate winning the Wagga mixed Touch Knockout on Sunday.
A mixed team packed with six ex-Australian players won the mixed tournament on Sunday. Killing It Fitness Cobras were undefeated, and took out the final 7-4.
The Wagga-based team played together for a decade, and after a couple of years off were surprised at how dominant they were.
Best on ground Ben Absolum, Chris Dowell and Junee Diesels star player Daniel Foley moved the ball quickly in attack.according to captain Andrew Baggio.
“They’ve got that speed and good ball skills,” he said.
Having a base of reliable women including including Nicole Absolum and Rachel Addison also helped.
“The girls make a big difference in winning, all the girls are very good, very young and very fast.”
