WAGGA’S Roz Stephens, Shane McKenzie and George Lindley enjoyed a big day out at Wagga Polocrosse Club’s annual team yarding event on Saturday.
Stephens, McKenzie and Lindley took out the overall team yarding competition, then doubled up with the $600 prize for the Elders Top 10 Shootout.
Wagga Polocrosse Club president Dustin Bradshaw said the annual fundraiser was a big success.
“We had 160 competitors in what was a very successful weekend,” Bradshaw said.
“We had open and junior competitions and had to eventually close entries so it was very well supported.
“We run the event as our yearly fundraiser, we had a free sausage sizzle on Friday night, along with full canteen facilities on Saturday and we had a good weekend.”
It was a profitable weekend for Stephens, McKenzie and Lindley, who picked up cheques for both wins.
