WAGGA people are urged to hit the lake and put their best foot forward in the name of motor neurone disease (MND).
The third annual Walk to d’Feet MND challenge is on again next week at Lake Albert – and it’s shaping up to be one of the city’s most well-attended charity events.
“It’s a day of hope and inspiration for the many people suffering with MND,” event organiser Pat O’Hara said, whose husband died from MND. “It all helps towards finding a cure – and that is so important.”
After walking the 5½ kilometres around the lake, participants will be treated to a sausage sizzle and other festivities at the boat club. The event is on next Sunday, October 25. To register, see mndnsw.asn.au. Organisers will also be taking registrations next Wednesday at Wagga Marketplace.
