A popular dating app is coming to life as a Wagga business is giving single people the chance to meet someone face-to-face.
Beck Hennessy of Stella and Bruce is bringing speed dating to Wagga to assist those who are unlucky in love.
“There’s very few places you can actually go to meet people in Wagga that doesn’t involved a lot of alcohol and very slim pickings,” she said.
The event will have a speed dating component but it also aimed at those wishing to meet new people in the city.
Guests will be greeted with a drink on arrival before games are played to break the ice.
“We encourage people to mingle and relax because I know these things can be a bit awkward and we want to eliminate that,” she said.
Then the ladies will take a seat and be introduced to a different man every five minutes.
You indicate your interest in someone on the paper provided and if they reciprocate, your contact details can be passed on.
“They are all there to meet someone,” Miss Hennessy said.
“It’s like online dating in real life.”
Miss Hennessy said they are currently looking for more men to even the ration of men to women.
Expressions of interest can be submitted to Miss Hennessy via 0400 599 015 or hello@stellaandbruce.com.au.
Tickets are $25 each and include a drink on arrival, nibbles and entertainment by DJ Cheese after.
Only First Impressions is on October 9 at the International Hotel from 7.30pm.
