FINDING a breakthrough to Lake Albert’s water woes is a step closer after the start of contract negotiations for the drilling of a bore.
Water for Lake Albert Group chairman Michael Henderson said the proposed bore, if successful, was a key part of a multi-pronged strategy to secure more reliable water in-flows to Lake Albert.
The group is negotiating with the preferred driller and is confident of having a driller on site at the lake by year’s end.
