New Wagga City Wanderers coach, Andrew Douglas, hopes to get a look at some of the region’s top talent when the club holds trials at Rawlings Park on November 7 and 8.
“I just would love to see the best players around the region turn up and give it a crack,” Douglas said.
“I know it’s a fairly big commitment, but I think from a playing and competition style, it’s rewarding.”
Douglas, who heads an expanded coaching staff at the Wanderers, said the trials are open to everyone.
”I know there’s a plethora of talent within the region and if they’ve got ability, it gives them an opportunity to be seen,” he said.
Douglas said there are some exciting potential candidates and he’s looking to build a team capable of playing attractive football.
Pre-season squads will be named on November 13, with teams to be finalised at the end of February.
