Exciting lawn bowls prospect Samantha Ritchie continues to reach new levels in the sport.
The Wagga schoolgirl has been selected in the junior Country team for next month’s City-Country competition.
It’s a big effort for the 12-year-old who will take on some of the state’s best lawn bowlers up to the age of 18.
After already proving herself against older bowlers when she took out the Wagga and District mixed pairs with fellow Rules Club bowler Apollo Birch in June, Ritchie continues to excel.
Rules Club bowls co-orindator David Ferguson is impressed by the effort and her skills on the bowling greens.
“At 12 it is a pretty good effort,” Ferguson said.
“It’s also good for the club.”
