DRAINAGE at the notoriously swampy Harris Park is one step closer after council resolved to enter into a contract with Wagga Rugby League for the installation of sand slit drainage. Estimated to cost $100,000, Wagga Rugby League is offering to complete the project for $60,000 using a council-approved contractor where required and in-kind contributions for the remainder of the project. Staff will also develop a master plan for the Harris Park precinct in consultation with stakeholders and the local community.
