A DIEHARD Brisbane Broncos supporter who puts her success down to “pure luck” has been crowned the 2015 Daily Advertiser tipping champion.
Anna Smith pocketed $1100 cash – and the coveted title – when she finished with an overall tally of 123, making a barnstorming run in the final round to beat out Matthew Makeham.
It was her third crack at the DA’s popular tipping comp, and her most successful.
A shocked Mrs Smith said it was the first time she had ever won a footy tipping competition.
When asked about the secret to her success, she simply replied: “pure luck”.
But she did admit her husband Darcy often gave her advice on injured players and other behind-the-scenes news.
